In feudal Japan, ancient ninjas utilized metal in
tools and weapons to
aid them in their missions and in their lives. It’s only natural that a
modern band of musicians called NINJA should do the same.
NINJA is a
fully garbed, 5 piece (with occasional additions) heavy metal music act
based in Portland, OR. The
band paves their own path of metal music by taking subtle qualities of
existing metal alchemy and mixing in their own unique approach, creating
an original and intensely awesome entity of exciting metal music.
...and so
the story goes. One night a young Flying V ninja, D.Grimm, fresh from
his
training, had a dream of big city ninjas melting faces in a rose thorned
garden. After two nights of meditation upon the dream's meaning,
D.Grimm decided it was his destiny to bring
forth to the world a ninja metal band as a vessel for epic heavy
music. In Portland
Oregon, with only his guitar and a keen sense of musical discrimination
to guide him, Flying V ninja sought out other urban ninjas to join his
adventure . He found Explorer ninja in a cave, under a waterfall
meditating upon hard rock and heavy metal. The ninja, Ysan, had been
on
a quest for vengeance, but was persuaded to defer his journey in the
name of completely destroying every drum kit within his vision. Christo
Bas ninja had
hung up his sword in favor of a quiet contemplative life, but the call
of pumping metal beats were too strong to resist. Throat Rot ninja was
found knee deep in a bourbon induced madness, yelling incoherently to
anyone who would listen. When the others heard the dulcet tones of his
harangue, they knew then that he was the right ninja to lead their band
into battle.
